Part 1 of Learning how to build a game in C++
Being able to write games is a longstanding goal that I’ve had for as long as I can remember. Writing games is difficult, and I’ve made several attempts at learning how, but ultimately these haven’t led anywhere. Most recently I wrote clones of the classic games Snake and Tetris, but that was a couple of years ago now and I didn’t end up with anything I could use for an original concept.
So here we are again: starting to write a game from scratch.

What sort of game will it be?
Is this open source?
